Art & Fine Wine

The Yakima Enological Society has organized an evening to explore this exhibit while enjoying a glass of wine and hors d’oeuvres prepared by the staff at Yakima Valley Vintners. You will vote on your favorite artwork. The votes will be tabulated, and the top two winners will receive a cash award from our society. This evening of fine art and fine wine will be held on Wednesday, November 8th at the Larson Galley and in the adjoining Yakima Valley Vintners tasting room.

As we review the exhibited artwork in the gallery, we will sample and enjoy wines from Rider Cellars in Selah, WA. We will be joined by the owners, Colby and Kristen Rider, to discuss their winery and wines. They plan to include Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Red Blend and Zweigelt. After touring the art exhibit, we will go next door to the Yakima Valley Vintner’s tasting room for a dessert tray to finish your evening paired with wines from the students at Yakima Valley College.

The Larson Gallery is at 1606 W. Nob Hill Blvd. The cost of this event will be $40 for members and $50 for non-members. If you want to attend but choose not to drink, you will get a $10 reduction off the above prices. Registration for the event will begin at 6:30 pm. You can purchase tickets to this event at our website or you can mail them in, postmarked by Friday 11/3. You can also drop off your registration form at Stems on Yakima Avenue. By your attendance you will be supporting both the enology students of the Pacific Northwest and the artists of Central Washington as well as celebrating a fairly new winery from the Selah area.
